I am having the Acessa procedure done tomorrow for my fibroids. I have a few of them but the biggest one is 10 cm. If you don't know what it is, it's a minimally invasive procedure where they heat up the fibroid so it destroys it from the inside out.
Here are better explanations:

Warning! This video which explains and shows how the whole thing works made my husband squeamish:
I noticed that there wasn't a lot of posts on Reddit talking about it so I thought I would make a post for the ladies who either didn't know this was an option or wanted to know how things went and what to expect post op. Obviously, experiences will be different based on the person but I know I would've felt a lot better knowing how other people's experiences went.
If you have had it done, how was your experience with it? Anything I should expect?
UPDATE: I am now second day post op. The surgery took 3 hours for 3 fibroids, a large, medium and a small one. I was in the recovery room for about 2 hours. They made sure that I was getting enough oxygen and was able to walk a little before I left. The pain was mild and of course I was groggy and slept off and on the rest of the day.
I highly recommend wearing a loose dress and low-cut underwear to the hospital. You won't want anything rubbing up against your wounds. FYI, they will probably bleed a little on the dress so make sure you are ok with that. Another recommendation is having a smoothie when you feel up for eating something. It was great for my throat, helped with hunger but was light enough not to make me nauseous or feel heavy.
The pain has been mostly mild. Sitting and standing up, bumps on car rides and being a kitten launch pad hurts a bit but the Tylenol and IB Profin has been helping.
I slept in the recliner the first night since I couldn't get comfortable laying down. Also, trying to get up to use the bathroom was slow going so it was just easier with the recliner. The second night I was able to lay down and be comfortable in bed as long as I didn't move around.
I hope this helps other ladies out if they are nervous about the procedure!!
