Reposting this because no one responded to my last post regarding this situation 😭

Looking for some guidance and advice because I’m unsure of whether I’m tripping, or if i should go to urgent care and get checked out

I’m in my mid 20’s and last Thursday i discovered something in my breast. I’ve been researching and trying not to spook myself so maybe it’s an abscess or cyst, but I’m not sure

At first i just thought my boobs were sore because my cycle was coming. As i go to get in the shower, i noticed the bottom half of my right boob, under my nipple is just red so i feel around and the best way i can describe what it feels like is a ball under my skin

I know what my glands feel like and it’s not that, and my left side has not been sore this entire time and i can’t feel something under my skin when i massage that side. As of right now, the area is very tender to the touch and brings me to tears pretty much every time i touch it.

My nipple is so sensitive and i thought it was an ingrown hair because I know how inflamed the skin gets, but that’s not the case. I tried to squeeze it to see if you know maybe something could come from under the skin, but it just made the skin along my areola area start to peel off (you know when you pick your skin and you create a little tear that breaks the skin so the skin just peels off)

It’s painful to do anything, it’s painful to go to work and wear a bra and even my night gown touching it is very uncomfortable. I haven’t been able to sleep on my right side or turn that way if i want to lay on that side while my phone is charging.

Typically, I’m a stay home and wait it out type of girl. I’ve gone to urgent care when i absolutely need to, but I’m just not sure if this is a period symptom messing with my body, or if i should seek medical attention

I don’t even know if they do breast exams at urgent care. It’s been a few days of this , i had some mupirocin ointment from earlier this year but it hasn’t made a difference

I want to go to family for advice, but I’m the type of person who likes to face my battles on my own without burdening others and bringing them into my problems.

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. I’m hoping to figure out if i should wait out, or is it better to get checked at urgent care. I’m trying to be strong but at what point does this inflammation go away.

I also want to rule out a bug bite, because i have a mosquito bite on my leg currently and there’s no hard mass under the bite. I’ve also had a spider bite before and I’ve never had it feel like something was under the bite. It’s Tuesday now and it’s still red and sore and very sensitive.
