I feel sick to my stomach. First off, when this referenced (Senator?) rebutted the State of the Union address, I felt a sick chill down my back. She is so creepy.
How TF will a pregnancy database help pregnant ones, moms and children?
And donât we kinda have one already â the one that gets all that free stuff to you once your doctor says âCongrats, youâre pregnantâ?
And when women-adverse lawmakers present their 1984-ish traps, theyâll present them as something to benefit women â moms â and kids. To trick voters like corporate interests are hidden in shell corporations. The women who most need protections â who donât see through this crap â are the ones who will get ensnared.
About 25 years ago when an anti-marriage equality measure was on the California ballot, it was worded so that a âyesâ vote would work against it passing. I was a student in California at one of the top 20 universities in the world, and I found myself in a verbal showdown with another woman in my major who insisted that a âYes on Measure ___â was a vote for marriage equality.
She wasnât dumb. It was designed to confuse.
Iâm so glad that women are so much more educated and informed by ourselves and other like-minded women.
