OLD was a good option for me last time I was truly single. At this rate now, though, I’m wondering if I’m seeing red flags that aren’t there. Are there really that high of a percentage of scammers out there vs. genuine men??
I was having a great convo with a man who claims to have been born in Italy, but raised in China. The name he gave was a nickname for a common Anglo and decidedly un-Italian and un-Chinese name. My eye got narrow and jaundiced at this.
Is it possible that someone who lived their life with their name would not know that said name is considered a nickname rather than a proper name?
Scammers I’ve encountered have become annoyed and indignant when I ask questions addressing implausible inconsistencies. See screen shot.
Have I misjudged this? Haven’t heard from the guy since this exchange, which may be just as well. I feel like I’m losing my sanity bc of how often I encounter this kind of nonsense. Am I being savvy or paranoid?
