Caster dps questions
Post Body

  • Is a staff ever anything more than a stat stick?
    • I know the magic properties only influence spells if they say "added to spells" or have similarly specific casting/spell language. Does the damage on the staff influence spell damage or is it only pertinent to left-click attacks?
    • Is there a consensus on staff stat priority yet? (e.g. spell dmg% > [mat/ele/occ] dmg% > Ferocity > etc.)
  • When I'm running an ailment build:
    • Is there a way to track what ailments I have on a target?
    • What's the best way to add a secondary ailment type to spells?
    • Can I ever apply more than 2 types of ailment with a single spell?
    • Pros and Cons of focusing on a few types of ailment (e.g. just material) vs using as many as possible?
    • What "Spell Ailment Chance Score" am I aiming for?
      • And do I prioritize that or Spell Crit Chance?
  • Are there any viable point-blank AOE setups?
