Grind for commanders is burning me out

So I've been loving the game after about 300 battles. I usually don't like grindy games, but I have really enjoyed this one with one morale breaking exception... Commanders.

It really sucks how hard it is to get commanders. The thing is, I can look past not having the performance advantages of commanders, but I can't get over the fact that not having them impacts the rate of bureau progression.

Even if it's small, it still has an impact. I have been lucky to have both commanders for the Yamato project to this point, but I can't catch a break and get the right ones for the GK. Having started both a couple of weeks ago, the GK project is noticably behind the Yamato due to constantly not having the required commanders for the GK.

The issue for me is accessibility. I'm not one to spend money on freemium games, but I finally cracked and spent $20 for 5000 dubs hoping I could access the right commanders. Even with that, I can't really aquire a decent amount of commanders to roll the dice and get one that I need. It's like ~6000 dubs for 3 commander crates (which the RNG gods don't seem to favor German commanders), save up 900k commander XP for a single commander, or save 10 million credits to buy a few crates at once.

I play the weekly missions and get the single commander. I can grind hard enough for the correct bureau ships, but I can't seem to realistically grind for the commanders. It's such a demoralizing feature. And don't get me started on not being able to reset your commanders like how you can on PC.
