I really don't get it. I was in my Danae playing a game earlier when a T3 DD went into our base and popped smoke. I was in hot pursuit and figured I'd be alright to follow it in to contest the cap cause I had sonar.

I activated it, and sailed right into it's own smoke believing I'd have the upper hand, but alas, I didn't see it until I left the smoke and found it right in front of my face, maybe 2 or 3km away from me.

Am I trippin or is the sonar range really that small to where it doesn't even cover an entire base/cap? Seems kinda pointless if the radius is that short and is affected by smoke. Also, is there a range indication rind on the map that I'm missing?
