Wow, does Elayne not look good in this book. Mat is essentialy raped at knifepoint by Tylin. The first reaction he really has once alone is: "Mat put a hand over his eyes and tried not to weep." He is uncomfortable with his nakednes and just all around in shock and traumatized, and Tylin totally is a villain in this storyline. Then later he opens up about what happens to Elayne and she f****** laughs at him and pretty much says it's what he deserves for flirting with girls. WTF Elayne? I know, she is a result of her time and upbringing, but have a little empathy! He was clearly disturbed and behaving differently, and then he shares something he is uncomfortable about and that is your reaction? Get outta here. So yeah, Elayne is my least favorite character out of our "good" people list.

Also, just as an aside, f*** Moiraine, too. She sent Lan to some woman against his will who used their warder bond to compel him to have sex with her and I get that this is what she saw as necessary to save his life but still. And all Egwene thinks about it is that hopefully for Lan he won't tell Nyneave about it. Yeah, the women really don't look good in this one.
