Itโs brought up in passing several times in the books that male angreal (those that can boost Saidin) are much rarer, as most male-channeling artifacts were lost or destroyed during and after the breaking.
But I canโt help but wonder, why do angreal specifically function to be used by a man or a woman? From how they are defined an angreal allows you to touch more of the true source.
Since they were made during the Age of Legends when there was no taint on Saidin and both male and female Aes Sedai, why did they manufacture them with a specific gender split?
