Why are professors so bad at Adversary battles and 3-headed dogs?

So... question about WHY Professors are so bad at Adversary Battles and Oddities. Is it because Aurors and Magizoos have passive buffs (First Strike, Become the Beast) that naturally enhances their fighting abilities without the use of Spells? And, Adv battles and Oddities forbid the use of Spells (Det Hex, Proficiency Power), so a Professor is NEVER able to reach their full potential, which requires several Enhancements or Impairments, which, of course, can only be had with Spells?
