Hey guys,
I really don’t know why KI refuses to make the first arc(up to dragonspire) or even the first world (wizard city) free. As an adult it’s hard enough to get my friends to want to play wizard 101 a game that has a sort of childish reputation.
When I finally get them to play and they’re hit with a 10/month slap in the face; I’ve lost 100% of the people I brought in the game.
I understand the game needs income with how active the team is with updates and people need paid. But games that gross at the highest rate (Fortnite, Roblox, etc..) are 100% free to play and instead of pay to win you just pay for cosmetics.
As a kid my and my friends parents would never let me or my friends have a membership. And as a parent I will not give my kid my credit card so he can blow it on subscriptions either. Obviously allot of kids are not able to play this game past triton ave.
The game however is marketed towards kids so it’s hard to bring in adults. I just dont understand the marketing teams decisions behind the game. And I think that a really fun game that has high potential is gonna completely flop on the console market. It’s most likely just gonna give the existing fan base a way to play on the go with a Nintendo Switch. This is still cool and a good decision, but a waste of potential cause the game could’ve blown up big time.
