Does anyone know what my dream might mean?

Last night I had a dream where I washed my hands, and I decided to keep my malachite ring on because I was too lazy to take it off. I thought that one time wouldn't hurt it. But after washing my hands and drying them, I rubbed off the green from my malachite ring and all there was left was a white stone. I was very disappointed because the ring was quite expensive and I wear it every day.
Any thoughts? I have a feeling this dream means something significant, but I don't know how to interpret it.
