Since in a nutshell I saw on spiritual TikTok a lady saying your crystal could be fake if you do a series of things, like hold a flame up to it, and if its not cool to the touch, if it melts, if it smells bad or misshapes... it's fake. Amongst other things.

So I tried it on some carnelian I got andddddd................ it was hot to the touch for a solid 2 minutes with only a few seconds of the flame being on it, glowed and may have cracked a tad. (One specific part glowed and lit up hot, and i heard a small noise which makes me believe it cracked.)

But I also used a Newport Zero torch, so I was wondering if using a flame THAT strong could have just made a real crystal get fucked, or am I just making excuses and they just sent me a stone-ish looking, marbled orange ball of resin?

Since then I have to have the 'this spiritual business did give me massive attitude and said strange things in the past that made me question their legitimacy a lot, now what do i do about this' talk with myself...

(i.e. the witchy online shop owner's husband accidentally messaging me 'the soap end bundles are unlabeled because its not like you're paying full price, plus it doesnt matter what soap she uses it just matters her intent (eye roll emoji)', when I inquired about an intention soap variety pack I got and which one was which due to multiple of different intentions and same colors on their website; upon realizing he accidentally insulted me, gave me a discount)

Plus I already was skeptical about crystals years ago but decided it'd be worth it to try anyway, but no wonder I'd be holding crystals and just.... well, nothing? Unless one can also say 'just pretend it works anyways', then, heh. I'd still be bummed if someone didn't even give me the actual crystal yknow?
