Looting swords in NG+ when starting at level 100

Post Body

Hello everyone, I hope everyone is doing alright in these trying times.

I'm about to finish another playthrough of Witcher 3, and I'll definitely reach level 100 before I'm done. Since I'll probably be replaying the game yet again in a few months or so, I was wondering how does looting stuff, especially weapons, work when you start the game with max level?

I'm especially interested in swords of course. So far the weapons that you were able to loot were scaling up with your character more or less, and a sword with good buffs was only useful for as long as you didn't level up too much, after that you'd have to look for another "current" sword if there's nothing good to craft at the moment.

My question is how does that work in NG if you start at level 100 and can't level up, do all the swords from White Orchard to Toussaint have the same/similar attack stats, and differ only in buffs and other effects, or do the swords still level up somehow?

I tried looking for an answer but it was hard to find a direct one, I know that enemies level up o 105 max, and that you're freer to pick the order of quests because the level requirements no longer matter, but I'm not sure what's the swords situation.

Will I be able to cure my years-long trauma that came from discarding swords with excellent buffs just because they're from 5 levels ago and the attack stats are now too low, or will the torment continue?

Thanks in advance for the help. Cheers!
