Wanted to comment on something real quick. I came here months ago and asked how to find a teacher or mentor in witchcraft. I was belittled by reddit witch trolls and told I would learn "more" by studying myself and there wasn't anything I couldn't read from a book and learn.
Just wanted to double down on my thoughts of that being complete and utter bullshit. You don't learn more/better/faster alone. You learn that way from a good teacher. Yes, you can learn anything or everything by yourself if you choose, but the advice I got from witches in the sub saying looking for a teacher was a waste of time was awful and wrong.
How did you learn anything? Someone taught you. Can you read just books and gather knowledge? Sure, but how did you learn to read? Yourself?
If you're looking for a teacher, keep looking. I found my group and my mentors and the shit I've learned from them in a few months beats 5 years of solo research.
And DON'T come to reddit for advice; come for discourse and validation.
