So I just moved here from BC, and due to a number of factors I was eager to find a place right away. I found a place that, from the virtual tour, seemed rough around the edges but good enough for a temporary place. We took it.
Today was move-in day and I was shocked to find that the place was not what I thought. There are;
Exposed wires
Broken storm windows
I can't control the heat in my unit
Broken sliding closet door mirror
No access to laundry facilities (the property manager said there was on the virtual tour)
The basement is exposed from the outside and anyone can gain entry
Mice. We've been hearing them all day.
Not to mention it is unbelievably dirty. Every square inch is just COVERED in grime. I'm not one to get pissed about a little dirt, but it's in an unacceptable state of filth.
Frankly it looks and feels like the place should be condemned.
Has anyone else gone through something like this?
