How is the windows experience?

Is windows on the deck equivalent to other window handhelds (particularly the ally)? How is the overall experience? How does gamepass run on it?
I was thinking of buying an ally or another handheld device that does windows natively. I prefer windows since you can easily use gamepass and other launchers.
Thanks for responding. I suck at searching within communities and could not find answers to my questions.
