Post Body

So I just got the warning that support is ending in January. I tried looking into windows 11 just now but it usually says you need windows 10 to update to windows 11. I never took the free upgrade to 10 back in the day because I was happy with windows 8.1 running classic shell. If I buy a windows 11 key will it work upgrading 8.1 to 11? Will I lose my programs? I'm just a little nervous about staying at 8.1 with no security updates due to the chance of ransomware and stuff like that. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.
