Hey guys, I was originally on Win 10 Home edition and could always connect to a 5ghz wifi and in turn host that connection as a 5ghz wifi which my phone could also connect to.
Never gave me trouble
However, let's just say I am on LTSC right now. I installed WLAN and all other drivers from my laptop specific site.
The 5ghz hotspot didn't work giving the error "The selected network band isn't available. Select a different band and try again"
I found a suggestion online to change a preference of the driver in Device Manager which temporarily fixed it, but problem came back again later
So I installed WLAN driver directly from intel using my wifi's model no. this time. Fixed it temporarily. Now the problem is back again
Any tips on how I can solve this once and for all? I know my wifi chip is capable of hosting 5ghz wifi but I just can't convince windows permanently about that. Thanks!
