Weird noises with almost *all* mouse actions

Post Body

Total mystery to me.

A month or so ago, my PC started making little scratchy noises *most times* I use my mouse. Mainly: opening or closing a program or explorer window, or selecting items (drawing rectangles etc). Scrolling doesn't cause these noises. I know this is coming from my speakers and not the physical case / drives / fan.

My PC is up to date (Win 11/64 Home, i7-13700 @ 3.4 GHz, 32 GB).

Sound scheme: no sounds

I use an Audient iD14 interface for semi-pro recording, which has been flawless...

Any clues???
