I burned the windows 7 ultimate iso to a dvd and installed it using my pcs 1 ps2 port which I have an old ps2 keyboard laying around since usb ports wouldn't work. it does boot and it does connect to the internet even, but no matter what I can't get a working usb driver. It can't find one on the internet, I've searched and searched for a usb driver. My pc has usb 2.0 and 3.0 but none of them work. I have an asrock b360 pro4 motherboard and none of the drivers for it on the asrock website are fixing the usb issues. I went into bios and tried to set the usb setttings to legacy but that did nothing. Intels USB drivers just say I don't meet the system requirements. The only driver I can find for my chipset/cpu which is an i7 8700k is the inf driver which does install but it must not contain the usb driver. I have also updated windows fully minus the language packs.
I'm pulling my hair trying to figure this out. I would try to reinstall with a different iso with the usb drivers in it already but I can 't find one for a 32 bit version which I specifically need for my whole purpose of trying to install windows 7. I'm trying to run an old program that requires internet explorer 4 and 16 bit compatibility which windows 10 32 bit doesn't do. I tried a vm but the program doesn't like how the VM handles the serial port which renders it useless
What baffles me even more is I'm almost positive when I put this computer hardware together I was running windows 7 albeit the 64 bit version and I don't remember having usb issues before
