I have a Lenovo IdeaPad. It's a very bad computer I got off of Amazon, but it works. I updated to Windows 10 and the task bar is pretty much unusable now. I can right click on Window and shut down/restart, that's about it. Settings does not work, I cannot add or remove any programs(uninstall), I cannot search, I can view my notifications on the corner at the bottom, I cannot open the sound menu or adjust the sound, I must do this with buttons on the keyboard. I had to set internet to automatically connect using ctrl alt delete because I cannot open the internet settings either. I wanted to try to uninstall some programs to see if that might fix this, but I cannot get to uninstall programs. I searched google and have run the following several times with no alleviation of the problem.
- Type the following in the Powershell prompt:
$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest - Close the Powershell window
Is there anything else I can try. This is completely related to Windows 10. The icons that go to the taskbar can be opened on the taskbar. That's about it. It thinks when given other commands sometimes, but they never go through.
