I have a Win10 laptop that when I plug headphones in, a volume of 2 is plenty, 4 is as loud as I could possibly want it. That obviously leaves me very little room to vary the value up and down, and it also leaves open the possibility of ear-damaging volume for 96% of the volume scale available.
Let's say I re-limit it where 4 is the max (now 100), and 2 is the middle (now 50). I've been able to do something similar in Linux before, I was wondering how I might go about it in Windows. A lot of my googling results are for the opposite problem where people want to overdrive above the current volume limit, so I'm having trouble finding relevant results.
