I have researched a bunch of beaches that are dog friendly (you guys have a lot, kuddos!) but I want to know from the locals which dog beaches are the BEST! I have a 2yo doodle who is super dog-friendly, but if he is off his leash, he will just bounce. It looks like most of your beaches are pretty open- are there any beaches that are fully enclosed? I will only be in Wilmington for the day, then driving up to Moorehead (Sp?), so any beaches that are enclosed and dog friendly along the way would be much a-beach-iated!)
