How to make birds Fond of you

So a few days ago I noticed a birds nest on the side of my air conditioner unit. (I live in a small suburb area) Today the cute little Robins have hatched and they are really cute... but the mom is very fearful of me and my parents. Is there any way to make the bird less scared of us, since its on our house in a medium traffic area if we are doing outdoor work. Any Ideas to make them less scared of us, since we don't really want to harm them or spook them.
