Hello all,
I’m leaving the California Conservation Corps soon.
I was on a fuel reduction crew (along with other things) and was wondering how to transition properly to a hand or fuel reduction crew after I leave.
I wasn’t on a wildland firefighting crew and I wasn’t given any certifications.
But I have been told that people that do fuel reductions are usually wildland firefighters?
Can I just directly apply to an agency or do I have to go a fire academy?
I really don’t know, but I want to do this kind of work (with more money) for just a bit longer?
Thank you
