Hi all,
I am a member of the CCC. I am currently at an energy and natural resource center and I am debating transferring to a fire center to be a woodlands firefighter.
I technically joined the CCC so I could get some forestry and natural resource management experience for a career or a masters degree in those fields.
A lot of my time has lately revolved around cleaning, napping, and screwing around at the office.
I was wondering if it would be worth it to transfer to a fire center?
I am reasonably fit and I want to both serve the state and the environment and get some excitement.
I am thinking of applying to be a park ranger or go to school for forestry or environmental policy after my time ends, but probbsly not be a full time woodlands firefighter at CalFire or the UsFS.
Should I still submit paperwork to transfer?
Thank you
