Backpacking suggestions for Midwestern Beginners

Post Body

Hello All! I, along with 3 or 4 friends, are planning to do a backpacking trip this summer, sometime in July. This would only be my 2nd backpacking trip and my first one was done in the Midwest so I don't have much experience with elevation and how that will affect stamina. Two of the folks are more experienced so we have all the safety basics covered, just need to find a route that would work for us beginners as well.

Right now, we're leaning towards Yosemite and maybe covering 20-30 miles over the course of 5 days. Do you have any recommendations for routes in Yosemite or other national parks? Glacier is off the table right now. TIA!
