Backpacking trip near Phoenix suggestions
Post Body

I’m going to be in Phoenix April 10-15 and want to do a backpacking loop over 4-nights. I have a few ideas, but I want something with ample water sources, but I also know I’ll need to carry more water than usual. How much water do you usually carry here? I’ve never hiked in any desert environment and here the standard is about 2L unless we know we have to go longer and that’s usually fairly easy to find out about. I’m not sure really where to look out there until I choose the trail.
