A group of friends and I are looking to go backpacking for 3-5 days in the first week of June. None of us have ever been backpacking before and don't really know where to start when it comes to researching trails or permits. I'm in charge of providing a list of places we can choose from so any help in that area would be greatly appreciated.
We are looking for somewhere in the north of the US where temperatures wont get much higher than 70 degrees. Additionally, we are from Florida so we are quite used to flat terrain and wanna see something different! If anyone knows of any trails with summits that'd be great!
