Looking for backpacking trip ideas in Southern Utah for mid March. Ideally 1 night but 2 is flexible. Would also prefer to do a loop or there and back in order to avoid shuttle stuff. Would love to hike in some deep canyons and see some awesome rock formations. Spent a lot of time around Escalante the same time last year and loved it! Currently looking at options in Grand Escalante again (although driving and logistics prove challenging) or maybe capitol reef? Canyonlands looks promising but may be a bit too far for me (Iām coming from SW). I am an experienced and competent backpacker and also have climbing and rappelling skills!
Thanks in advance for any tips or ideas!
