Desert Pack

I am doing backpacking trips in Zion and Canyonlands this year and expecting to do heavy water caries.
I currently use a Gossamer Gear Gorilla 50 but don’t think this can carry the weight required.
Any suggestions on packs for desert backpacking and heavy water carries?
