Hi, I'm planning my first backpacking trip in Eagle Cap Wilderness in late September and having trouble finding past monthly weather reports for the area. I've seen other postst/comments saying "It's cold" which is subjective. Are late September lows more or less around 30ยบ or much colder than that? I'm accustomed to late fall backpacking in the Sierras where lows can dip to below freezing.
Likely I'm just doing it wrong but I've searched past weather on NOAA but no temperature data for the stations close to the area. Timeanddate also has that feature but the closest station I can find is the Wallowa airport with a low of 55ยบ for late September. That can't be right.
