Hello backpackers! I am in charge of a strange tradition of picking out gifts to receive from people who want to celebrate my union with my future husband. Apparently physical gifts are very important to not me but other people, so I was thinking of going HAM on some REI stuff. What would you choose if someone was encouraging you to pick out gifts in the $300 range and you were semi-reluctant to do so but would be interested in camping and backpacking stuff although that normally takes a long time to research and pick out? Some ideas I have so far:
A nicer ~20L daypack with hip belt (asking for 2 so it looks like it is a couple thing)
Camping/backpacking chairs or other furniture
A couple's sleeping pad?
A lightweight camera? That can take better outdoor pictures and video than a smartphone?
Maybe one of those portable firepit things? Are those good?
Other upgrades or luxury items?
