My 2 friends an I are planning our first backpacking trip in July. We’re looking to hike the Border Route Trail in Minnesota, and I’m looking for advice for how long we should go and what distance we should attempt.
We are all early 20’s, in good shape. I’ve been camping all my life, one friend grew up involved jn boyscouts and the other has minimal camping experience. Although none of us have been backpacking proper.
It’s a 65 mile trail in the Northwoods, though, and would appreciate advice from more experienced backpackers on if a thru hike is feasible for us, and alternative, what distance/timeframe to plan for.
