This isn't the first time it's happened, but I just got off a four-day trek this past weekend, and even after the first day, I'd always get some pain and annoyance once I cinched down my hip belt of my backpack. I'll admit, I tighten my hip belt down pretty tight so my pack (30-40lbs) rests primarily on my hips. But this results in a lot of irritation on the top of my hip bones that I'm not sure how to deal with.
Does anyone have ideas on how to potentially reduce/minimize/eliminate this pain and irritation? Some kind of ointment? Maybe kinesiotape or some kind of pad? Any and all ideas, feedback, or experience would be greatly appreciated!
