Okay, so after maxing an Exile, I thought I'd do justice to the red-tinted fellas next and see what they were all about.

First impressions with the Exile is just that they're trying to make their way in a galaxy that gives em shit from all sides and they just wanna put their feet up and call somewhere home. Great. I can get behind that. That's a decent enough reason to join em and file that umpteenth report with Rhonda Wellspring.

What i don't get about Dominion is that.....aren't they all just jerks? Most MMO's have the other faction be something like a misunderstood anti-hero sorta deal or someone with just a valid but opposite belief from their enemies.

But I've only played the tutorial for Dominion and its already left a sick feeling in my gut when you send off Sweetspur or whatever the aurin's name is off to be tortured and burn some trees for seemingly no reasons on the way. She put up a fight , and my Draken should have done the honorable thing and killed her right then and there!

Does the story develop into your character ever showing something akin to empathy, a good heart etc later on? Or is it all just blood in the name of the Emperor? Am I the only one finding it hard to sympathize with them?

Maybe Carbine thought that the generic 'Two factions that are both kinda justified' was lame and decided to make a properly evil faction, which is kinda cool I guess.

TLDR Why are Dominion so mean and do they become less mean?
