Everytime you see a build guide it's only the kemono path for armour. Why is that? It's because the skills exclusive to kemono path are pure damage.
I can see what they were trying to do.
Kemono path centered around using your weapon more and the human path is for supporting(Multiplayer)/Defense and the use of karakuri mechanics.
The problem is...none/if not most of the skills doesn't matter as they don't have much impact.
The buff timer increase is negligible, because the buffs in this game are not even that good. Since the best thing you need comes from food, and there is no items to my knowledge that boosts your attack for a short time to make this skill worth while.
You always have to trigger by doing silly things like being poisoned or being set on fire.
The defense increase doesn't matter because you can stack all the defense you want; a single swipe from a kemono will make you lose like 40-60% of your HP regardless of how good your armour is and the skill iron clad just gives you hilariously low 1-2 ((Which is nothing btw based on the math people have done))
The only skills that make some sort of difference are the Strong Arm abilities;however, it only procs off hunter arm and that basically forces you to NOT use your karakuri to your base threshold ...you know...the main mechanic of the game. It's extremely counterintuitive.
If I'm honest.
I think all the skills need some sort of huge overhaul.
You can tell they did not want people to make broken builds, as everything is extremely undertuned to borderline useless.
Like the one skill that legit poisons you if you drink your healing water....like seriously?
Everything is either 1%-10% if it's not directly tied to your job. ((Job as in your weapon: things like the katana unbound release is usually very high in % because its not a stat like crt or attack)) Example: crt skills are always like 2-5%.... defense skills are like 1-5 points...
I very much doubt the limit break system will fix anything but we'll see.
But as of now, human path needs some love or everybody is just going to keep using kemono path because the name of this game is pure damage and that seriously needs to change because as of now, going anything else besides damage feels bad.
And skills in general just need some buffs.
