As someone who is not very technical or good with coding, should I mod my Wii?

Post Body

I took out my Wii this evening and I was looking into modding it, getting homebrew, etc.

I know enough to follow instructions and I know I can actually do it. But is it common for issues to come up later on that require more technical knowledge? I would be absolutely clueless if some more complex issue came up. I havent checked, but I assume you can restore a Wii to factory settings if a bigger issue happened?
