First deal? What did you do?

Hey guys! I’ve been so close to getting my first deal multiple times. Each time is always something so small like agent forgetting to put my offer to the seller or just can’t find a buyer in time. How do y’all find buyers so quickly? How do y’all talk to the buyer? Are you suppose to convince them to take the deal or just give them the contract and let them decide? I have another potential deal right now with a seller on contract and I really just don’t wanna mess this up again.
