COD My players don’t really like the God Machine at all because they think its too science fiction like. Any ideas on how to change that?

Post Body

Basically my idea is to make the God Machine’s more machine like status and code like thinking very obscured and vague. He’s just referred to by the local language’s version of God with demons and those who are connected to the god machine associating what little they can fathom of him as being like the God of Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc.

I like the idea of tying religion, myth, and pure speculation into a web of uncertainty about the GM. How have you as a storyteller ran the God Machine? What’s your advice? I’m really loving reading up on the lore of this universe and I’d hate to throw out such a cool entity just because my players find it maybe too science fiction in nature.
