Struggling with 2e Mage

I'm hoping I can get some encouragement on getting into this system. Honestly I put the book down after reading about 3 different levels of mage sight, Yantras, Praxis, Reach, Beats, Conditions, Tilts, Obsessions, Aspirations, Nimbus effects.

I'm familiar with nWod and MtA 1e, though not CoD but given all the old complexity was a bit daunting I don't see a few thematic improvements and limited streamlining worth such complicated additions. Frankly it seems more trouble than it's worth compared with just tweaks to 1e.

Maybe I'm an old fuddy-duddy, what are your thoughts?
