How do I handle long distance travel and looking for a specific gen/clan kindred?

Post Body

Long story short, my current campaign has just ended. Before the next storyline starts off, I'm giving my player characters a month in game before the next story starts. This gives them time to advance their personal agendas.

One of my players wants to travel to New Orleans, and while she's there she wants to search for a 6th gen Gangrel or Salubri. I already told her she's not going to just find a Salubri with ~30 days worth of sniffing around a city she's never been in. Beyond that, I have no idea how you would just sniff up a 6th gen anything.

So, I could use some advice on how to handle this. I know long distance travel is dangerous (She's going from Cincinnati, Ohio to New Orleans, Louisiana... I think a Sabbat city?) but have no idea how to represent that in a chance of things going wrong en route. Then, how does one find what she's looking for? What about showing up in a city that may involve Sabbat? I should mention she has the flaws "Hunted like a dog; Sabbat" and "Rival Sires" (She's a LaSombra Antitribu).

Usually these time gaps in the game are a few questions, a few responses, and usually some dice rolls. I want to be able to handle this in 5-10 minutes, as I do have to go over each players agenda at the beginning of the next session.
