Post Body

So, I remember one of the first edition books (I can't remember which) recommending using poker chips to represent Willpower (because it's a more visceral feeling to hand a physical thing over, I imagine). And then I was reading Vampire the Requiem Second Edition and ran across another recommendation to use tokens for consumable stats:

"Consider tracking Vitae not on the character sheet, but with tokens. Red poker chips, glass beads, or other tactile, visual representations work well. The act of handing tokens back and forth helps to conceptualize the flow of blood." -VtR2e

I like these ideas. So I've decided to pick up some representers for these stats.

Poker Chips feels good for Willpower because you gamble Will (ie: spending will to get more dice to roll thus risking still rolling 0 successes).

For Vampire I found some bloodred glass beads (the kind for fishtanks). Red Glass Beads on Amazon

For Mage (because I assume it will suggest similar when the 2e book comes out) I wanted something different for Mana, so I found some light blue "crushed ice" style acrylic chunks which thought look kind of like tass or something. They will probably be lighter than the Blood tokens above, but that's okay because blood should be weightier and feel more important. Blue Acrylic Chunks on Amazon

I'll let you know how they feel when they arive and how they work out once we start playing. I'm just curious if anyone else has tried this option out and found it to their liking (or disliking)?
