hey hey, im trying to figure out the durability rating and structure for a shield.
Also would be nice to know the rest of the stats.
its meant to be a buckler.
I see in improvised shields a trashcan lid is structure 4... ok, cool.
What durability though? none of the shields seem to have durability listed.
I also would think its have a 1 to armor.
Armory says:
"In close combat, a shield adds to a characterâs De-
fense score. If the character chooses not to use a weapon
in combat while wielding the shield, she can figure in an
additional 1 bonus to her Defense as she concentrates
on avoiding harm, hiding behind the shield and using
it to counter attacks.
In long-range combat, a shield isnât particularly
useful. Bullets punch right through most shields and
into a characterâs soft body. Unless otherwise specified
(such as the âBallistic Shield,â below), shields do not
offer bulletproof protection. However, all shields allow
a user to claim bare concealment. In most cases, ranged
attacks against someone holding a shield up are done
at a â1 penalty."
