So I got it in my head to run a Vampire the Requiem campaign in Victorian London.
The thing is I never played nor read much on VtR. I've read the 1st edition core book for it and the 1st edition World of Darkness sourcebook, but that's it.
Also I, and the players I'd like to run this campaign for, are long time fans of the oWoD from WAY back in the 90s. So I know oWoD stuff like the back of my hand, but know very little of the nWoD, in both lore, mechanics, themes, and tone.
The reason why I want to run a VtR campaign is because I enjoy how much it is a multi-polar political setting compared to VtM, which has a bipolar political setting between the Camarilla and Sabbat and I don't want players to just kill every NPC of the other side as soon as they see one. I'd rather play a social political that has more nuance than that, which I think VtR can provide because of the different Covenants.
So which editions of which books should I use, and why? Are there any resources for the Victorian Age for Chronicles of Darkness? How much crossover, if any, between the other CoD supernaturals in a big city like London should there be? What should I know about the other supernaturals and how they relate to vampires? Are there any other pitfalls or dangers I should be on the look out for?
Thank you very much for your answers, recommendations, and suggestions.
