So I keep getting stuck on this idea of the classic AD&D Ravenloft intro/transition of monsters chase character's into a fog but for Garou cubs first change/umbral incursion.

The riot cops chase you blocks from the protest and the distant smell of capsicum is just enough to make you thankful for your mask and goggles. Up ahead, in the mists of a fountain, you see bright colors and what looks like a giant spider made of glowing glass putting webbing on the edges of this strange portal in the mists. As you begin to wonder if you are seeing some strange afterlife the approaching clatter of shields and thump of boots is joined by the pounding of hooves...
