The "adults" take those jobs because they're the only ones available that guys a moron. I wouldn't be surprised if the guy serving me behind the counter had a bachelor's or masters but couldn't find work in his field so had to take what he could find.

And the argument still rings true regardless. If they only hired high school and college students they wouldn't have enough workers for the hours they need. College hours are more flexible but they'd still struggle to fill common class hours.
