Why did Cam lose his luggage?!

Is it just me or did we completely drop that storyline after a point?! What was the point of his luggage being lost in episode 1?

Because then he had to borrow a bathing suit which led to him getting ass naked in front of Harper which leads to the question of did Harper and Cam have sex? That little bit of plot absolutely fed their entire story line
