Hi, I'm vǝda (vä'də). In 2019, I was misappropriated and plagiarized by G. Willow Wilson and Nick Robles for 'The Dreaming: Waking Hours' by DC Comics. (part of The Sandman Universe.) I was smeared and stalked, and then plagiarized, as well as the publisher (DC Comics) using my image/likeness without consent or compensation. In response, I've started the social justice movement "#withinthatinch"
Please, I need help getting awareness for my situation, as well as for the people responsible to face accountability over the allegations. The internet hasn't been a friendly place; I've found in my experience of trying to get help that most commenters are abusive towards victims, and censorship is almost guaranteed if the truth is unpleasant or not believed. It shouldn't be that way. Trying to get help has almost been more traumatic than the original events.
#withinthatinch is a movement for anyone who's ever been violated by DC Comics: Actors, writers, directors, illustrators, letterers, victims of plagiarism, employees, crew members, interns, etc.; Any sort of offense: plagiarism, misappropriation, whistleblower retaliation, workplace discrimination, unpaid time, sexual harassment, etc. Anyone who needs awareness of their situation—this is for them.
We've reached a time in our society where corporate giants, famous, privileged, or powerful individuals must face accountability for their actions. Victims need to be heard.
Thank you for your time.
If you want people on your side you'll need more than a plea and a hashtag.
